Telling Stories - Giveaway & Blog Hop

UPDATE: The winners of this week's giveaway is

October 27th is National Tell a Story Day

What fun huh! I hope you'll take advantage of this great day, snuggle up with your kiddies and listen to, or read, a few wonderful classics such as Robin Hood or Beatrix Potter. Maybe your kids will beg you to come up with a few (possibly right off the top of your head) new ones.

Collaborative stories are a great way to use your imagination and kids really enjoy this activity. You never know where the story will end up and what cast of crazy characters will appear. Especially with kids in charge!

Let's practice, why don't we? Since the 27th is also the birthday of President Teddy Roosevelt, lets start the story out with him...
Teddy Roosevelt is not really a teddy bear.

Now it's your turn, leave the next line in the comments and let's see how long we can grow our "Presidential Stuffed Animal" story. Ask your kids to help too and be sure to share this post with your friends! Feel free to copy any of the text to use on your own blog!
Everyone who participates will be entered to win a $20 gift certificate for CurrClick.com.  PLEASE BE SURE THAT YOUR PROFILE CONTAINS OR THAT YOU INCLUDE AN EMAIL ADDRESS. (If you are reading this on Facebook, be sure to leave a comment on the actual post.) This giveaway will be open until 10:00pm EST Friday, October 29th. Please see our rules for more details.

If you would like to try a collaborative story chain on your own blog, please leave your link below so we can all join in the fun too!

  10. Teddy Roosevelt is not really a teddy bear, but a teddy witch with green hair and green clothes. She has an owie, she gets fixed by a dentist. She finds a friend that's really not a polar bear, he is really a SUPERHERO! She finds another friend and he is really not a panda bear, he is a paleontologist. And they get dressed up and go trick-or-treating. And all the people are one big family. And they celebrate all the days like Christmas, birthdays and anniversaries together. Then one day they all got eaten by a dragon. And then they saw their family in the dragon and then they saw and wanted to be a robot and the other guys wanted to be a dragon but he was not real. The END

  11. PS: We haven't studied the presidents much so they have no idea the true identity of Teddy R. so this is pure imagination.
